Aluminum

By far the lightest decking material and the strongest. Comes in a variety of wood-grain finishes and colors. Most aluminum decking planks have interlocking edges which create gap-free, watertight decks. Particularly useful for 2nd story decks since the space below stays dry.

Architectural ( aka Dimensional) shingles

Architectural shingles are typically 2 separate shingles laminated together to create a stronger, thicker and more visually appealing shingle. They are generally more expensive than 3 tab but they will last longer. These shingles will last 20 to 50 years dependent on the grade and manufacturer.

Flat Rolled Self-Adhering Granulated Roofing

A self-adhering granulated roofing system is an excellent solution for roofs that are not steep enough for traditional shingles. These are made of 2 or 3 layers with a granulated top layer similar to the granules on regular roofing shingles. The base layer is either nailable or self-adhering (depending on the specific installation) with a self-adhering mid ply.

Luxury Heavy Laminate shingles

As with the other types of asphalt shingles heavy laminate shingles are constructed of asphalt, ceramic coated mineral granules and fiberglass matting. Heavy laminate shingles, however, are built on a heavier base material and constructed using multiple layers of asphalt material. They are the heaviest and most durable of asphalt shingles which slows them to have the highest wind ratings and withstand severe weather conditions.
